Method 1

  • Take a basin of warm water and add 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda into it.
  • Soak your feet in it for 10-15 minutes.
  • Take your pumice stone and scrub your feet gently.
  • Repeat this every night until the corn disappears.

Method 2

  • Mix one spoon of baking soda, a little water and some lemon juice together, until it becomes a paste.
  • Place this paste on the corn and wrap it with a bandage.
  • Leave it overnight and wash in the morning with lukewarm water.
  • Proceed to scrub it gently with a pumice stone.

3. Garlic Clove

Garlic contains many antibacterial properties that are great for the skin.

How To:
  • Take a glove of garlic and grind it down into a paste.
  • Apply this paste over the affected area of your foot and bandage it.
  • Leave it over night and then wash with warm water.
  • Gently scrub the dead skin off with a pumice stone.

4. Castor Oil

Castor oil is considered to be the Mother of all home remedies for corns and calluses on your feet!

How To:

Method 1

  • Soak your feet in warm water and scrub gently with a pumice stone.
  • Apply castor oil over it, using a cotton ball.
  • The corn should peel away after approximately 10 days.

Method 2

  • Instead of using plain warm water to soak the feet, try using a little bit of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar mixed in the water.
  • Apply castor oil as directed in method 1.

Other Remedies

1. If you prefer store-bought remedies, chose products that contain the ingredient ‘Salicylic acid’ to get the best of the product.

3. Avoid walking barefoot on rough surfaces, so that your feet remain soft and supple.

4. Like all beauty challenges that we face, our diet plays a major role in healing as well. Avoid fried, processed and sugar-filled foods. Instead, stock up on foods enriched with vitamin A, E and potassium.
