The 89th Academy Awards will be held on 26th February 2017, in Hollywood, California. The Oscars will be a night of excitement, glam, and glitter, a night no one will ever forget! We are super excited about this year’s Oscar nominees 2017 and here is why!

1. Emma Stone
Emma has been nominated for the ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ award for the movie ‘La La Land’! After winning a total of 30 awards so far, ‘La La Land’ is set to be the favored winner at the Oscars according to the Oscar predictions. Only time will tell who will really win! This is the second Oscar Nomination for Emma Stone.
The reason why we are so siked about this nomination Oscar 2017 is that Emma Stone has shown us all that you don’t have to be perfect to be a big, huge success. All it took for her was that she followed her dreams and never looked back!
Emma Stone even admits to wearing hair extensions most of the time “or you can see her ears”. She also admits to the fact that she has major dry skin issues, weak nails and has a nasty habit of eating her lipstick when applied!
What more reason do you need to love this Oscar Nominee!?
2. Natalie Portman
Natalie has been nominated for the ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ award for the movie ‘Jackie’! This movie has drawn much attention from people all over the world because of its amazing take on the life of First Lady Jackie Kennedy after the death of her husband.
This is the first of Natalie’s Oscars Nominees 2017, the second time she has been nominated for the Best Actress award (she won her first Oscar for ‘Best Actress’ for the movie ‘Black Swan’).
The reason why we adore this amazing actress is because she has shown what it is like to live in France and still have the willpower to stay Vegan (far from all those yummy croissants and cheeses). Natalie claims that her major secret is that she uses a lot of mascara on the base of her lashes to make them appear thicker and fuller!
3. Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep has been nominated for the ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ awards for the movie ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’! The movie has been nominated for two Oscars – ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ and ‘Best Achievement in Costume Design’.
After her takedown of President Trump at the Golden Globes, without even mentioning his name, we cannot wait to hear what her acceptance speech will be like if she wins this award! Will Trump continue to call her overrated or will he attempt to ban her from America this time?
This three-time Oscar winner and 1 time Oscar Nominees 2017 is favored to win not just because of her amazing performance in the movie, but also because people are dying to hear what more bombs she has to fire against the President of the United States!
One thing that we can learn from her is to always stand up for you believe is right, even if you’re standing up against someone like ‘The President’!
4. Ruth Negga
Ruth has been nominated for the ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ award. For the movie ‘Loving’!
This is the first of her Oscars Nominees 2017 and we are so rooting for her win!
Ruth has shown us that an Ethiopian-Irish combination can be more than super-awesome! And, although she has pretty short hair, almost like a boy-cut; finally, she has shown us that you have a huge variety of hairstyles even with minimal locks!
5. Isabelle Huppert
Isabelle has been nominated for the ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ award for the movie ‘Elle’. This was bound to happen with such an amazing plot and such a skilled actress!
This is the first of Isabelle’s Oscar Nominees 2017. And we hope that there will be many more to come for this French actress!
Finally, after the recent win at the Miss Universe pageant, and now the Oscar Nomination for Isabelle, I think we can all safely agree that French women have magic in their blood!
